Welcome to Desert Wind Middle School!

Desert Wind Middle School is a community of care, focused on student engagement and meaningful learning. Our goal is 100% of our students will read and do math at grade level when they leave. Desert Wind has two Blended Learning cohorts of students who focus on project-based learning using 21st century approaches to instruction in a mixed grade-level setting. In addition to our blended classrooms, we have a team-teaching model in our 6th grade cohort. 

Our History

Founded in 2008, Desert Wind Middle School has a history of providing quality education to the community of Maricopa, AZ. From our humble beginnings, we have grown into a middle school known for its commitment to academic rigor and a supportive learning environment.
