Dear Tiger Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year at Desert Wind Middle School! School is a community of care, where every child is known, valued, and challenged. This belief anchors our Mission: to nurture student engagement and promote visible learning so each learner actively shows what they know and can do.

Our Vision is equally clear: All students will perform at or above grade level by the time they leave middle school. Reaching this benchmark is not a dream—it is what drives our work every day. 

Three Core Values guide the DWMS staff: Accountability, Belonging, & Collaboration. Our Core Values, along with our Mission and Vision, drive our goals. You, our families, are essential partners in this work. Whether you’re encouraging nightly reading, discussing a math strategy at the dinner table, cheering on a robotics team, or participating in parent meetings, your involvement sends a message: education matters.

As we begin another school year together, know that my door is always open. Let’s model accountability, foster belonging, and strengthen collaboration so every Tiger can level up and leave Desert Wind ready to thrive in high school and beyond.
